A tourist’s guide to etiquette in Kyoto [Infographic]

As the saying goes, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do,” and these words ring as true in Kyoto, Japan. The Japanese in general are extremely courteous and the last thing you’d want to do is offend your polite hosts.

Thankfully for us, the City of Kyoto, alongside the Kyoto Convention & Visitors’ Bureau has compiled a list of donts lest we embarrass ourselves on holiday.

Etiquette varies from culture to culture and sometimes, we have to leave some of our own back home; it’s all part of the travelling experience.
